The Brentwood-Westwood Symphony Orchestra Association and our esteemed Maestro Alvin Mills invite you to attend the 56th anniversary season.  This Gala Season will feature internationally acclaimed artists, noted guest conductors, talented young "Wunder Kinder" musicians and many other surprises.

Maestro Alvin Mills shares the podium with the great conductor, Dr. H. Vincent Mitzelfelt, who founded The Camerata of Los Angeles in 1973. He has made numerous recordings, his most recent Beethoven's An die Freude, Schubert's Mass in C, Mozart's Flute and Harp Concerto and J.C. Bach's Divetimento for Two Flutes and Orchestra. He will conduct compositions by Mozart, Wagner, Bizet and the Lefcourt-Mills' Color Me Equal. Wayne Sheppard, Bass-Baritone will be his soloist. Maestro Mills will conduct Christmas and Hanakkah music.

In 2007, pianist Rachel H. Chung performed solo at the Walt Disney Hall. This summer, Rachel was invited to attend the Batumi International Festival in Georgia (Soviet Union). Violinist Deborah Kim has performed solo with many orchestras and performances in Los Angeles, Boston, Korea and Europe. She has attended the Aspen Music Festival and the Assisi Festival in Italy. Cellist Stan Sharp enjoys a wide-ranging career as a soloist, chamber music performer. orchestral player, studio musician and teacher. Stan has won numerous awards including National Cello Congress, Music Teachers National Assoication and Symphony Guild. This trio of fine musicians will perform the Triple Concerto for Piano, Violin and Cello by Beethoven, in C Major, Op. 56. Also on the program is Mozart's Symphony No. 40 in G minor.

Sylvie Ollivier, pianist who has given benefit concerts for the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra on behalf of the Santa Monica Westside Philharmonic Committee, performed Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 4. Richard Kaufman, Principal Pops Conductor with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and Orange County's Pacific Symphony, shared the podium with Maestro Alvin Mills. Richard Kaufman also conducts the Chicago Symphony Concert Series, the Florida Orchesta and many others throughout the United States. Maestro Kaufman conducted American music. Composers Aaron Copland, George M. Cohan and John Philip Sousa were featured.
